About the Author
Born and raised in western Pennsylvania, Brynn Chapman is the daughter of two teachers. Her writing reflects her passions: science, history and love–not necessarily in that order. In real life, the geek gene runs strong in her family, as does the Asperger’s syndrome. Her writing reflects her experience as a pediatric therapist and her interactions with society’s downtrodden. In fiction, she’s a strong believer in underdogs and happily-ever-afters. Her ancestry tree claims she’s a descendant of the House of Stuart.

Publishing can be a tricky business. The original publisher returned rights to many of their authors due to a financial mismanagement, leaving many a series marooned, as it were. I had already handed in HERE WALK THE DEAD, and was then faced with a decision—what to do with the series?
I finally decided to try and sell the remainder of the series, and a new publisher issued a contract for 3 more books. So, although AMAZON may say there are only 2…there are indeed 4.
Arabella Holmes has Asperger’s syndrome—a biological difference that typically makes relationships difficult to navigate. She is a genius, like her father, and obsessive about her interests—her bones, her dogs, science in general…and Henry Watson. Much to her own chagrin.
When Henry left for boarding school, he tried to forget Arabella. But no matter how many girls entered and exited his life—they all seemed shallow and silly, compared to his best childhood friend.
No matter how many lips he kissed, none burned in his memory like the desperate one with Arabella, as they stood on the dock before his departure.
So here they are, in all their frenetic glory. This is not an easy story, nor an easy relationship.
But to quote Sherlock Holmes,
“Eliminate all other factors, and the one which remains must be the truth.”
And for each of them…that truth is their love for one another—no matter the obstacle.
